Welcome to
the Pride

Six things to do in your first two weeks. After that, the calendar and your section rep carry you the rest of the year.

Preview content. Dates, account steps, and contacts will be confirmed by the directors and boosters.

First two weeks

  1. Set up Cut Time

Cut Time is where fees, payments, forms, and trip details live. Student Accounts sends your login to the email on file with the school. Did not get one? Email studentaccounts@pearlandband.org.

  2. Read the handbook, sign the forms

The band handbook covers attendance, eligibility, grading, and uniforms. The UIL physical and medical release are due before the first summer rehearsal. Documents and forms.

  3. Put the calendar on your phone

Subscribe once and every rehearsal, game, contest, and spirit night appears with call times. Open the calendar and tap Subscribe.

  4. Pay or set up a plan

Band and meal fees are due before marching season. Payment plans and fundraising credits run through Cut Time. Nobody sits out over money. Talk to Student Accounts early. Fees and finances.

  5. Get summer band ready

Shoes, gloves, the PHS water jug, sunscreen, and a real breakfast. The summer band guide has the packing list and the schedule.

  6. Join the boosters and pick a team

Every band parent is a booster. Pit crew, meals, uniforms, chaperones, water crew. It takes about sixty volunteers to run a game night and there is a job for every schedule. Volunteer teams.

Before day one

  • Turn in the UIL physical and medical release
  • Create your Cut Time account and pay or set up a plan
  • Buy marching shoes, gloves, and the band jug through the boosters
  • Join your section GroupMe through your section leader
  • Add the band calendar to your phone

Who to ask

Directors for anything musical or academic. Boosters for money, volunteering, and trips.
